Despite a looming electronic billboard and the roar of Business 40, Brushy Fork can feel remote and wild. The abandoned First Street bridge seems like a relic from a lost civilization.

- End points: From the southern end of Newell-Massey Greenway at Old Greensboro Road to Lowery Street.
- Surface: Asphalt.
- Terrain: Mostly flat; a moderately steep grade at Lowery Street end.
- Parking: On-street parking at Lowery Street.
- Amenities: None at present.
- Nearby amenities: Skyland Park has picnic tables, basketball court and playground, but no toilets.
- Connects to: Skyland Park and Newell-Massey Greenway to the north, and a sidewalk to MLK Blvd and WSSU to the south. Will eventually connect to Salem Creek Greenway.
Assistance may be needed at the long, steep grade at Lowery Street end.
